ANTHONY JACKSON
Anthony Jackson is founder of Antheses Education, an educational consulting firm where he serves as Chief Creative Advocate and K-12 Education Strategist. He recently retired as Director, Community Schools Transformation in the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Local District West. In that capacity, he led principals in advancing the responsive transformation of their schools to empower and elevate learning outcomes for African American students.
Previously he served as principal at LAUSD’s Hillcrest Drive Elementary School and Music Magnet and at Aspire Slauson Academy, a K-6 charter school in Los Angeles. Anthony was a founder and co-director of Culture and Language Academy of Success, a renowned Los Angeles charter school committed to educating underserved students using culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy. In addition to school leadership, Mr. Jackson has served as a coordinator of elementary literacy, an instructional specialist, and an instructional technology coordinator in the LAUSD. He taught 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades for 10 years at 99th Street School in Watts. He is currently a doctoral candidate at UCLA’s Graduate School of Education.
